    Crown and Sword with no maker name.

    I have seen lots that say made abroad. I thought they were made in Germany but ground in Sheffield or made and ground in Germany for export.

    ..I'm all guessed out now.

    Ern did a lot of contract grinding. Crown and Sword was his trademark but I have just never seen a blade that said that. I believe Puma sold a Crown and Sword. I've seen one at least with the puma emblem on the scales. Unless it was a rescale.

    Now that we know that the first one exists, I am trying to find a matching pair,

    - the one made for export, where it said “Made Abroad”
    and
    - the one made for the domestic German market, where it said “Made Here”.

    That's what I was thinking too. That made me think of Planes Trains and Automonbiles where John Candy is going the wrong direction on the interstate and the people on the other side are yelling "YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY!" and Steve Martin says "How do they know where we're going?"

    Found this one today.. It is a Sheffield maker, i forget the details rite now. Or im thinking of "Osgar"
    Ok a Solingen , i can only think it was for export to the uk?
