    Default My New TI

Thought I would post some pics of the only razor I brought back from europe. I bought this in Paris at Planet Rasoir. Unfortunately, noone there speaks english, and my impression none of them knew how to use a straight razor or that a razor isn't shave ready from the factory. Its a very nice shop however, and I would reccomend that anyone in Paris stop by.

Fantastic looking razor. I honed up a TI with a similar blade a couple weeks ago for a friend and it shaved unbelievably well. Good luck!

How were their prices? Did you get the Coticule there too?

I believe this cost me $300. A bit pricy, but I couldn't help it. I mean it had the fluer de li and everything.

The stuff there is definately a bit expensive, however, I found everything in paris to be expensive.

I didn't get the coticle there, the only sharpening tool I saw there was a pasted strop. Which the guy working there tried to brutalize my razor on.

Love the razor though, and it is a great shave.

It's funny.... I don't know how long you were there but on longer trips I find my perceptions change over time. In the UK I was skocked to pay like $8 for a gallon of gas (between pounds and litres, I really have no idea, it was what it was) but after awhile that stuff started to impact my perception of other things I would buy. I mean I just spent $150 on a $30 tank of gas, what's $45 for a souvenir shot glass?? (I mean something that should have cost like $10)

'til of course you get home and look at the cc bills waiting for you

Sweet razor, by the way! I love it! Congrats!
