Nobody? Well I'll be...
It acts like a standard Sheffield. Meaning a little bent but the grind looks good so far.
Still habe to get it on the stones but ran out of time. Maybe next week.It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 1083If it doesn't say made in England or Sheffield steel it could be made anywhere. It just says best English steel.

Well I found this Jerry. It's from The Strand Magazine from 1904.
Not a straight but it is a razor called the gem and they use the phrase "best English steel."Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17

I have one of those Gems. But i hadnt realised they used the term "best English Steel". That does push it in that direction. Thanks for pointing this out.
