    Default Gagne-LaCouture?

I found this while thinning out my razors and can't seem to find any info to see if it warrants keeping or not.
On the tang is stamped "3606/8 Gagne-LaCouture" and underneath that is "Lyon". The blade is etched (as best as I can tell with my old eyes) is "Lotus". Underneath that is "Pour Barbes Tres Dures". Blade is 6/8 in width & is 3 1/16" long. Jimped on top and bottom. Also has the third stabilizing pin. Pins and washers appear to be stainless or nickel.
    Any help would be appreciated.

So it's probably a keeper, yes?
Also, I have a translator on my phone, so I typed in "pour barbes tres dudes" and it came up with "for beards very fires".
Since I don't speak French, this seems somewhat odd.

It says "pour barbes très dures" (with an R, not a D). The literal translation is "for very hard beards", but maybe a better translation would be "for very thick (or stiff) beards."

I also found a Biedermeier Solingen H. Eicker & Sohne. Beautiful faux tortoise shell scales w/Biedermeier stamped on it.

Are these Biedermeier razors (Solingen H. Eicker & Sohne) supposed to be good?

From a very long list of Solingen razor makers only about 3 or so are well known in North America and have excellent reputations. Most of the other unknown, to North Americans, Solingen razor makers also produced excellent quality razors. Those that produced poor quality razors did not last long in a very competitive market place.

I am shaving with a Heartring by H Eicker & Sohne this week and can say it is one heck of a shaver. In near NOS condition and a very thin bellied hollow grind.
