Thanked: 27/8 “ Poyet Frères” Frameback and 6/8 “Army Razor” - Any Information?
Gents,
Hello! Well I have just purchased two razors that I know very little about, and I was wondering if anybody has any information about them. I really like my 7/8 LE Hyalin frameback, so when I saw this 7/8 Poyet Frères frameback I figured that I would take a chance.
All I know at this point is that Louis Poyet was a French designer and engraver until his death in 1913. Upon his death, his three sons took over his shop in Paris under the name “Poyet Frères,” which stands for “Poyet Brothers.”
The second razor is a 6/8 with “Army Razor” on the tang, and that is all the information I have at this time.
The below pictures are from the seller, and I will post additional images if required when these beauties arrive.
Thanks!
Vr

That's Manah's site. He's a member here and very knowledgeable about history. If you want information on something his site is a good place to check. Also, as a default, do a search or check the shave library. If course I'll always try to help if I can as most here will.
