    Default French Kabrand razor info?

I picked this fella up on Ebay. The blade width is 11/16. Dunno why it caught my eye, but it did. Anyone familiar with Kabrand razors? The seller describes it as French made.
The reverse side of the tang reads:
    garante trempe et affile
    a la main
    m.d. 112. 479-28. 4. 27

I haven't taken any new photos of it, but here's the ones from the listing.

It's in pretty good shape. Needs a little cleaning on the jimps (top & bottom), but the blade is free from nicks and the scales are not cracked or scratched. Anybody have any experience w/ these razors?

I never heard of it however if its french its probably a quality razor and it appears to be in real good shape. A little polishing and some honing and you should have a fine shaver.

I saw the auction and came close to bidding, but I'm going to part with some of my razors and related stuff soon to raise cash as my wife will be out of work for three months following some surgery. I'm glad it is in good condition. It looked nice. Unfortunately I can't tell you a thing about the maker, although I also thought that a French razor should be a good one.

I have a Kabrand - not as nice as yours though - and it's waiting in line for refurb. I can tell it's going to be a good one though - I would definitely spend the time on yours and make a shaver out of it, it's a nice piece.
