    Read:
    MOTHE
    ARVET - succr (successor)
    MARSEILLE
    COUTELIERS (MARCHANDS ET FABRICANTS). MARSEILLE
1878 : Mothe, Pierre, rue des Fabres 3
    1880 : Arvet-Touvet, coutelier, rue des Fabres 3
During the years 1879-1880 Arvet-Touvet succeeded Pierre Mothe n° 3 rue des Fabres.
In 1898, he moved to rue Ferreol and also made surgical instruments.

Just finished it, the rust damage was so much worse than seemed at first. It was not an easy restore but I'm glad I've worked on it. Lots of de-rusting baths, regrinding, sandpaper work and machine polishing. It's quite an elegant model. Has a medium hard steel anf takes a satisfactory edge. Not a wafer thin solingen edge but still works quite well.
