Yup fake razor and fake stone.

Buy a good vintage razor, strop, and a good stone, 8-12k. Any questions about a particular one, just ask or read the library or the honing forum.

Spend time learning to shave, strop and touchup a razor.

You are certainly not the first to fall prey to the fake stuff. Unfortunately, the razor will not hold an edge and the stone will not produce one.

You know that stone? I had a feeling it wasn't all that great, but I didn't know for sure.
