Default This weeks flee market find.

Nothing really special One is from a Rhode Island company but made in England with the HOPE on the tang. Being from RI I thought it was cool.
The other is Yankee Cutlery.Co 910 Germany. It has quite a bit of hone wear. but the scales will fit another razor I have perfectly.

The box thy were in is just a cigar box but it won't go to waste. I'm thinking flannel inserts to hold a double set if I come across two identical razors.

Have something that keeps my hands busy keeps my mind happy.

Besides where can you buy things to restore that cost the same as a cup of coffee? One day I will get motivated and clean up my lathe and start turning brushes.

The hunt is the best part. Sometimes you find a gem, other times it could be a treasure box.

Like this group I'd picked up for a mere $150.00

Was that find from a flea market Mike or the flea bay? I was watching a lot sort of like it.

I think that was an antique store he has built a relationship with.

I have something similar in a neighboring town. Sometimes there are some incredible finds, like a translucent Pike I found in a half box. Hone was almost perfect, I gifted it to a friend who needed a finisher.

Just remember to be careful buying razors with rust on the edge. It can make then only worth the round file can. Some are saveable too but you are taking a chance when you dont have a lot of experiance. Keep at it and when you find yourself trying to store over 200 Shave ready razors you will have made the club.

I am just a tiny bit envious. It’s a long way for me to go to the first antique shop. So not only do you have cool finds but likely a giant hunting area close by.

Actually a antique store. They got me on file, there. If something comes in, they give me a call.

The guy said give him an offer....and he accepted.!!

Yeah I have a couple of antique stores that are supposed to have me on file but I never get calls from them... Bastards.
