Thanked: 0Old SR identification
I need help to identify this razor.
Today I finished the restoration. The handle is made of buffalo horn. It doesn't seem to be original. However, it appears to be quite old. Now it looks great, after I cleaned it, despire it being cracked. I purposely left the wire with which it's attached.
The razor shaves very softly and effortlessly with it's weight alone. It removes the bristles from the face like a tank. However, it is quite uncomfortable because of the shorter tang. Maybe it's a matter of getting used to it.
I will also be greatful for any feedback and comments on the restoration.

Thanked: 44Just had a quick browse through the Gales and Martin and didn't see a corporate mark like that but plenty of names that would lend themselves to such initials.
As an aside, George Burch, pen and pocket knife maker, has a lark of a corporate mark with SMEG and a Maltese cross. Was he a fan of Red Dwarf?
