Thanked: 562I’ve decided to keep the original scales as Mike and Paul suggest.
I really like the idea of using manicure equipment to polish the scales, but that will have to wait until I can remove them. They need a fair amount of cleaning and some reshaping that is most effectively done after they are separated from the razor and wedge.
Thank you all for the input.
I’m also trying to source the 3M metal restorer Mike recommended. It seems to be hard to locate in Canada.David

One tub of it will last a long time. I bought a tub several years ago and I still have about half left.
