    you are correct about the 3M. I think a rag and a little time was good advice. I was using a paper towel and I think that was the problem

    I started out with it using a red shop towel and it didn't work to my expectations. I switched to an old cotton sock and it seemed to work much better. Now if I could just get my hands on one of those magic rags that outback uses...

    I have heard story's of Outback's magical Rag soaked in 3M metal restorer.So good one swipe will remove 200 yrs of rust

    That magical rag also pieces together broken scale tips and doesnt leave a visible seem. He keeps those rags under lock and key though. Like the Holy Grail or the Ark of the Covenant.

    I have taken this as far as I am going to. Bone scales with brown horn wedge. I didn't try to darken the etching Maybe in the future.

    Looking good. The only thing I can see that could be corrected easily is a small heel hook.
