Thanked: 0razor with unknown manufacturer and logo
I found this razor at an affordable price, the seller says it could be wade & butcher, but he is not sure, I need to respond as soon as possible. I would like to ask for the help of those who have information on this subject or who recognize this logo.

Well, I don't know the maker by the logo but it (logo) looks similar to the Steelmark probably best known by most people by its use as the Pittsburgh Steelers logo. That however is a set of 3 hupocycloids and arranged a little differently. I'm t also looks similar to an Jerusalem Cross minus the center cross potent.

I couldn't find any other information either. I do not know any more. What I was trying to do is give your thread a bump up in the list so that other members would see it and maybe comment.

I've seen this on razors I have owned in the past. The ones I had marked with 'fine india steel' were late 19th century English made blades. For Example there are a number of Wade and Butcher blades engraved with 'fine india steel'. My research in the past makes me think it was a marketing thing. I couldn't tell much difference honing and shaving with fine india steel. Of course they were all good blades.
