    Default What's your favorite Thiers-Issard?

As the title says. I've seen some complaints about the brand, although others love them. I believe Thiers himself was highly regarded back in the day (100 years ago or so). Bonus if it is shoulder-less like the Dovo Bismarck but I'm interested in any good design by T-I.

Can't say I care for them. Honed a nd shaved with a few. Scales heavy n clunky, steel was, mmm, ok. But that's just my opinion on them.

I have a few vintage ones that are excellent, but the new ones I really can’t be bothered with (just like Dovo BTW).

No real knowledge of TI razors Other than what is said above. From what i know the older razors are of better quality and the modern ones appear to be hit and miss sadly!?! Though guessing slightly more hit and the name TI carrying the razor keeping it in existence!?!....That said and knowing this i still went ahead and ordered a TI from their website after using their custom design option.....So to answer the question which is MY favourite Thiers Issard Razor??? It's my own (Below)!!!

My favorite is their Historique 6/8 razors. I own two of them. Here is one of them. And despite what was posted above, I must say TI's are of the highest quality.

I got my T-I with ironwood scales a little while ago, but needed to get it honed. It now feels very nice on the face.
Negative: the lacquer was a bit uneven on the scales, so I tried to apply some more. Looks OK now I think
Positive: something about the way this one lies on the strop. fits in my hand, and the feel of the steel, all make me think this will become one of my favorites. Very nice! The decoration on the blade is top notch, and I also like the protective sheath it came in.
