This razor is nickel-plated in some places, which looks bright.
The blade is designed to be tilted downward, and the contact surface changes during shaving.

Thanked: 292I have a similar size Shumate razor that I found in my uncle's house when he died. It may have belonged to his father. The one I have was made in St. Louis. Unfortunately, it is one of the few razors in my collection that won't take and hold an edge sharp enough for my beard. Mine is closer to half-hollow. Full hollow, extra hollow and bellied hollow blades seem to work best for me.
