Thanks for all the replies. The inscription on the tang reads “Real Hollow Grind German Make.” Odd that it’s German Make instead of German Made.

I suspect Albionyte is the name of a hotel that ceased to exist long ago. I’ve sent it out for honing, and I’ll see how it shave.

So having come from the Albion, it has the properties of Albionite Hence the title of The Albionite.
Yeah, I don't know why really, because there for sure isn't any reason any one would kno the term here, I thought... Luddite

You see, I see Albionyte, I see two derogatory terms, that's why I've been tiptoeing about this one. Lol
"When you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything" etc

Now, most likely, my assumptions will change a bit with the new information on the tang.

Shitty neighbours I said. Which means like most nosy neighbours when know what the others are good at. Or we get jealous. You get the idea.
As proud as they are about their cutlery in Thiers in France, you will still find Sreiht (Thiers in the mirror) or Widerstrahl chasing the "German quality and steel"-seeking buyer.
And Thiers Issard is still selling the "Sheffield silver" made "Loup et Bélier" (Wolf and Ram) series. (Which still oddly feel the same as other TI steels, a bit like if McDo would sell a burger with Angus beef)

As I said earlier, Albionyte would no doubt read "with British properties" to a German.
Which mean mostly means nothing in terms of how this razor would behave differently from any other Solingen.

Which means in turn that it will come back from honing as a very good blade.

But as to which of the numerous German makers would have made this one, no clue
Beautiful is important, but when all is said and done, you will always be faithful to a good shaver while a bad one may detter you from ever trying again. Judge with your skin, not your eyes.

Just going to toss this in the ring.

Terms and their usage have a way of changing over time. Remember that the word "Christian" (little Christs) was first used as a slur in Antioch, but was pretty quickly adopted as self-nomenclature to followers.
Also, the same is true of the name "Lutheran."
