Well it's good to know science has really come a long way on facial transplants. You may need these services after using this magnificent example of a straight razor. Good Luck to you!

Looking at it there appears to be just a bit of the edge showing, it may need to be worked.

Well, it came in yesterday and I did a quick shave this morning. No cuts nor weepers!

I might do a separate thread. However, wtg was fine, not a lot of pulling. XTG didn't hurt but didn't shave very well either. ATG tugged a bit. This did leave stubble, but didn't mar my face

Build quality: The scales are horrible. They are thick, have a spacer not a wedge, and have a third pin. The pinning is very tight - need two hands to open the razor. The blade itself wasn't too bad, slight smile and did not experience what cudarunner pointed out from the pics. There is a ding in the grind and the honed part of the spine might need some work. The box says that the razor was produced in China for DAS brands.

second try with the factory edge.... Nothing doing. Painful and tugging. I will try to hone her up properly soon and give y'all some feedback.

Is there any indication of where the blade was made. If the second shave was much worse than the first, it sounds like the steel is not properly hardened. I suspect it will hone quite easily.
