    Default "Barbers Delight" knock off?

I just got a Ebite special a few days ago and started cleaning it up the day I got it. After closer inspection (and cleaning...) I noticed that it turns out to be a darn clean and "New" razor. So my first plan of cleaning it up, honeing and passing it on kind of got scrapped for the moment.

As I was inspecting it closer it became apparent that this was exactly the same as my Robeson razor, but with only 1 difference, the hammered tang and Suredge name where milled off and restamped "Barbers Delight"... Looking at the tang near the pivot pin showed evedence of a hammered tang, and the stamped numbers on the monkeytail where still there 16-T-350. The scales where even the same style, even had some "File" marks as if the milling was done with the scales on.

The steel is also just as frigging hard as the Robeson took a couple days to hone that bugger, see if this one follows the same path... so far it has

I'll try to get some pics soon, about to go shower and test out tonights hone job on it... yesterdays job was a bit lacking

Sounds like a great find...every once in a while Ebite pays you back with a dElight!

You should post some pics! (sorry if you have, this browser isn't the best at detecting or showing imbedded pictures).

Thanks for the pics - looks like a mighty fine razor. Here's hoping it shaves as well as its cousin (I'd say brother, but, you know, being re-branded and all...)

Ohh, well that could be a nice find DC, hopefully it shaves just as well too! I like the etching in the blade.

It does everything I expected a Robeson to do, great edge and shave

Now I basically have 2 of the same razor
