Thanked: 0Craig's List
I never thought of this before. Have any of you ever put something up on Craig's list looking for old straight razors?
I know my grandfather's shaved with straights. It would make sense that a lot of other peoples' grandfathers did as well.
I'm sure a lot of what is out there is honed to hell, rusty, chipped or cracked but you never know maybe there are some nice Str8s hanging around in basements or attics all over the place.
I just put the add up locally. I will let everyone know if I get any treasures.

Thanked: 0Ohhh a WTB ad? You know I didn't consider that, but I really like the idea. I have been all over south western ma and northern ct running in and out of shops, and I have a few neat things but most are way overpriced (I saw a Dubl Duck #1 at a "antique barn" today with a cracked scale - 120$) and they don't like to move.
I have checked kijijiji.com (or whatever) and craiglists for razors a couple times but never seen any. I like the WTB idea.

Thanked: 0I picked up 3 straights from Craig's list. A woman in a town close to me had several she was trying to get rid of. All three has little to no tarnish and honed nicely. Shave great.
