The price will depend primarily on the condition of the thing. Even the "best" of razor brands can be worth next to nothing if they're in poor working condition. As for dating it, I'm not too familiar with that brand of razor, so I won't be much help there. If you could post a picture of it, that'd make all the difference. It's a lot easier to guage what a razor's potential worth is and even date it that way.

Thanked: 13245Classicshave.com still has a few of the NOS Filarmonicas, for sale on their site, the Doble Temple's are going for about $100, However your's is of nicer quality...... but at least this will start you off on the search. Your's also loooks to be a slightly larger blade, pics can be decieving though, that adds value also....
These tend to be very smooth shavers if you haven't already tried that edge BTW

Thanked: 0I don't think anyone here would try selling that on eBay if they found it in their grandpas basement, most of us would be honing 'er up and having a shave with it!
That said, I don't think it's going to need a reserve on it, it should realise a pretty decent price.

It might take you a little time to learn to use and maintain the razor but i find it very satisfying to use my grandfather's 2 razors as well as my father's 2 straight razors... a nice connection to the past and a way of honoring the skills and principles they both taught me.
if you are going to list it on ebay... just for the cash, that is your choice... just post some great pictures of both sides of the blade and scales closeups of all the markings ... and let us know what the item number is.... or you could list it in the b/s/t forum and let one of us just buy it direct.Be just and fear not.
