Default Boker's back in straight razor business!!

    http://www.boker.de/index.php?c=115

Unfortunately not on the English language web pages.

To cut a long story short: it says the oldest catalogue of straight razors the firm has kept in their archives dates back to 1906, more than 100 years later they decided to revive the tradtion. And empty your pockets looking at the prices asked.

Man, I better clean up and sell the Damascus that I picked up at a flea market.. I'll have myself some vacation money
In any case, I sent'em an e-mail nicely saying that they should cut their prices in half. I attached a pic to that e-mail that should make them reconsider their pricing as I said that it cost considerably less than the Damascus piece. You gentlemen know which one

Yea and I'm sure they are really concerned at what we have to say to them. Like everything else in this world these days its all hype and they expect us to pay for it.

Good news but 229 Euros for a King Cutter. They are good but at that price I would rather buy a Custom

They ought to be concerned. There aren't that many out there who will buy new and would pay those kind of prices their market is basically to the guys right here. Beginners will still get the reasonable Dovo's. For those of use more experienced who are willing to pay more, well, I prefer custom made to my specifications as opposed to off the rack for the same money and I don't know anyone who doesn't.

The 'Rasiermesser Damast' is a looker, but the price really gets your attention. That's 1000 US dollars!!!

It's a 3/8 King Cutter. No way I'd pay 230EUR for that. I'd go as high as 100EUR for the 6/8 SS, but 250 is way overboard.

    Ilija,

Could you post a link to the place where you found the contact info? I'd like to send an e-mail similar to yours; maybe if a few dozen of us did likewise that would get someone's attention. I'm thrilled that Boker is producing straights again, but they need a reality check.

Josh, just click on the above link and click on the word Impressum. That'll get you to the contact page, with an e-mail address. And no, I don't speak a word of Deutch lol.
