    Default Linkat G.m.b.H. Razor

    Gentlemen...

I'm at a loss about this razor i got on ebite "Linkat Stahlwaren G.m.b.H. Solingen" is stamped with "2015" stamped on the back of the shank, lower jimping only. The blade is 13/16 with a spot of rust on each side of the toe where it makes contact with the scales as well as a little bit on the shank. Most of the mess cleaned up with MAAS and a cloth but i will need to sand the toe a little. there was very little hone wear on the spine.
For good measure i honed it starting with 75 trips on the Norton 1k (with tape on the spine) then (after removing the tape) 75 trips on the 4k followed by a further 100 on the 8k. it still was not quit there so i did a few small pyramids between the 8k and a yellow coticle and viola! pops the arm hair like a dream.
i used it today to shave with and it was enjoyable but pulled a little near the end... some more coticle time should correct this (i hope)... not bad for the price

My question is has anyone else used or owned a razor from them? or heard of the company before? a search here failed to turn anything up. All i know is that it was made after 1893 since that was the year "G.m.b.H." (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung) became a legal term for a business in Germany... think "limited liability corporation" (LLC) but oddly there is no "Germany" any place on the blade or box

I'll post some pictures soon but the ones from the seller are not the worst
    Be just and fear not.

    Default G.m.b.H.

Just scored one tonight. Got a killer price, I just hope it ends up shaveable. I'm sure it's not shave ready yet.
Actually, it's the first one I'm going to put to the hone. I'm going to consider it a really inexpensive starter razor. I bought it with the intention of messing it up. If I succeed and manage a shave with it, I'm going to put a drop more money on a nicer razor.
Will post with photos and first honing experience after it arrives.

Thanks for your post. It's the only one that comes up as a search with "G.m.b.H."
would you upload a photo of your own blade?
