Don't get me wrong here, I want a Maestro as much as the next guy. I have heard however from guys who have tried both the highest end razors and the antique shop specials that there is really a fine line of difference in shave quality between those hand forged expensive razors of today and quality steel of the old days. Basically, they say that you can get an equally good shave from both. With that being said, I agree with Kenrup in terms of the price guys are hoping for. I cannot and maybe will not (out of principal) buy a $400+ razor. I don't have that kind of cash. A Maestro being available for $200 would let guys who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford it try out the fancy craftsmanship and enjoy a luxury razor.
