Thanked: 4942Maestro-Group Buy
Wowza,
After the great response to our recent dilema, I think I need to contact the Maestro to see about a nice group buy for us. How bout you guys give me some ideas for what would be nice for a group deal, like ATS 34 or Damascus along with maybe a choice of handle and we'll see what we can agree on and then what we can get the Maestro to do.
The cost will be based on what you guys want and what the Maestro will charge with no profit at all.
Thanks,
Lynn

I personally think that anything by the Maestro would be very nice. I tend to like the more simple and less flashy designs than the fancy stuff....my inclusion would probably depend upon the final pricing.....that being said I'd LOVE to have a piece from him in my collection and would like to be included!

I'm in for this too. Let's all hope for a nice fat check from the taxman this year.

Wow, this is exciting! To get lots of guys to participate, it would be good to get a medium-large blade at a relatively reasonable price, though I'd think a lot of guys would be willing to pay for fancy steel. I like the Takeda idea.
How about a 13/16" oblique point Takeda with simple horn or wood scales.
Edit: To be clear, I'm interested pending a final design and price.Last edited by SteveS; 01-21-2008 at 09:58 PM.

Something elegant and classy, not too showy would be my preference. ATS 34, stag or rosewood, oblique or french point.Jay

Thanked: 9This is very interesting! I am not sure if I am in - depending on both what we are getting and cost (to a lesser extent).
If I had my way, I would try to influence the decision to a *smaller* razor - e.g. 6/8 or 13/16 vs. 8/8 and larger. Other than this - I like nice curves, like the one that Don got recently, very beautiful
Let's see what happens here
Cheers
