    Spanish point
Really like to have Burl wood.
Steel - anything works here cause I do not yet own a Livi so I can start with either type of steel.

Another one in Olivewood. Though with olivewood, it might be best to make sure it's sealed/waxed/polished rather than plain, as it will easily soak up drops of water/oil otherwise.

Exactly, Mike......this is just what I was thinking about when I posted. Simple, yet it speaks volumes. Truly a work of art.

I think the only reason that ATS is winning is the expected price difference with damascus.
If damascus would come at a discount, then perhaps that would be the preferred option?

I voted for damascus. I think I may have well since we are having a chance at a price discount. Might as well get it while you can.

This is a great idea by the way, depending on what we all decide on and on price, I am in.

I voted Damascus also .. I have the above ATS34 in olive wood already ..
I'm not getting my hopes up just now because the £ is really weak against the Euro .. I think a lovely Maestro creation will be out my reach for now ....
but hey I can hope ..

Well hey a Damascus should only be a hundred or so more. If it is your only chance to get damascus at that sort of price from him then why not try?

Apart from my preference for a 7/8 and wood scales I don't have strong feelings about steel type or shape of the point. I know too little about the shaving qualities of either ATS or Damscus steel. Is it OK to tick only two boxes?

I would hope some could explain the differences between the 2 steels ATS or Damscus steel. I would love to find out myself. But I am okay with either steel because there will always be RAD to take care of that.

Looks like we do have a Spanish Point as a clear leader.
