    And photobucket is being slow.
    I scraped some of the rust off those tortose razors and I think I can save them.

    that is a shumate made in 1913 and that is a blade guard that turns it into a safety straight razor. it is a solid blade witha movable removable guard

    Oh boy!

    I am particularly impressed by the ivory Bokers (different from most other ivory scales I have seen - both thickness, profile, and look - actually, I'd think they aren't ivory but if Tommy says so I am sure they are, he knows his stuff); and the scrimshaw handle is just fabulous!

    So I guess you like M&W razors?

    I saw that one - or another just like it in a lot of 3 on E-Bay that I wanted badly. I don't software snipe, but I do "hand snipe" so to speak, and I wasn't near a computer when it ended.
    Drats.

    The lot went for a fairly low price IIRC.
