Default Top Five / Six Straight Rzr Makers . . .

I use an aging Mehaz, but admittdly I have not been not an enthusiast until recently. Can you respond with a list of your preferred razor brands that sell new for the hundred dollar range with the web sites for their wares? Thanks! Hope to meet you on February 9 in Medina! Ralph S.

    Hi Ralph,
In the price range you specified I think that Dovo and Thiers Issard are the only manufacturers currently in operation. A lot of guys like the Wapis that are, I believe, new old stock from Poland and available on eBay. The Dovos and TIs are available from from several of the advertisers here on SRP (check out the left sidebar ads, for a start). As a alternative, many prefer the vintage stuff, much of which can be had here in the B/S/T forum for under a $100.

If you increase the price point, it gets really interesting, because you can look at Artisan built razors. This range starts around $300 and goes way up. Names like Livi, Zowada, Chandler, Williams and Ellis populate this level. You will see them all at the Feb 9th event.

There are also C-Mon razors (made by Dovo) for under $100, as well as Col. Conk (also by Dovo)

    Cheers
