Thanked: 0ebay dubl duck
So i was listening to lynn's video online and he mentioned that he uses a double duck blade. So i went looking thinking they'd be really expensive and found these.

for relatively cheap, although i assume they'll go up, is there some scam involved here? is this a good blade to get.
Currently, i have a Puma which says solingen on it so i assume it's ok, but hard to tell as i'm yet to get my 8000 stone (i already have the 1000/4000 combo). Anyway, is it worth getting a duck? i think i would if they were going for that cheap, seeing as you spend 100s on dovos.
has anyone heard of Puma blades? i assume not
thanks guys
orfeo
ps i have ordered lynns video, i know there's a section on ebay buying but i'm yet to get it

The Puma's are nice shavers. Usually pretty pricey. The Ducks have been going for a lot of money lately - I'd bet that if you watch those two till the end the prices will skyrocket.....and it looks like they both need some work. They ARE supposedly good shavers (I have some but they are on the work bench....look kinda like those two!

Thanked: 13249Searching for Ducks you will find that the prices fluctuate greatly depending on the people bidding, right now prices on all razors are up, and DD's are way up.... However the most sought after ones are always the Wonderedge and to a lesser extent the Goldedge because they sorta look like a Wonderedge.... Many people who actually own these, consider the Satinedge to be a great shaver in it's own right, me I like them all, they each have a different feel to them.... Here is somthing to ponder they didn't just become so popular because of Lynn's video although that did play a huge roll in attracting attention to them... Dubl Ducks are great shaver's they also hone very easily and keep that edge, in fact the only real drawback to them is the prices they command....
Just my 2 pennies here

Thanked: 0thanks for the tips guys, i think i'll stick with the puma for now until i get it on an 8000 stone, maybe in a year from now when i've got things down pat i'll look for an upgrade (although i do like the idea of just having one blade as i'm a greeny)

You really can't get any better in vintage blades than a puma anyway.

Orfeo,
Don't fool yourself. You'll be overcome by
RAD (razor acquisition disorder) and HAD
(hone acquisition disorder) just like the rest
of us. In a few months time you'll have
more razors than you'll know what to do with.
