    Default Buying new Straight

So far I have a Solingen I bought on ebay
    and my great grandfather's W & B I'm
restoring. I also have some others I plan
on restoring in the future. I would like to
buy something brand new that I can
say I was the first person to use it and
maybe hand it down to my sons later
on. What would you suggest in the $100-$150
    range? Thanks.

I have been VERY happy with my Dovo's: Blackstar, Ebenholz and Berschiger Lowe....my Revisor's are also great shavers in that price range....

Looks like you have a blade, from Germans and one from the English
Time to consider something from the Frenchians Thiers Issard make a very good str8 blade.

Also you can find new Friodurs at Shavingshop.com

since razors are so personal and you seem to be looking for something special that you want to use for life and pass down, it would seem to me that only you can answer the question.

it seems to me that the most suitable thing for a heirloom would be a custom razor, but you'll need considerably more money.
if you want to stick in your price range, just check the current offerings from TI and Dovo and pick the ones you like best, then you can probably get advice on the best shaver among your narrowed choice.
