    Those 4/8 med. hollow blades make really great shavers.

    Just like their bigger-sized cousins, many makers had quite similar models.

    So do you have the W & B 4/8s model? have you seen many of them? would you say that they are common?

    I have one that is either a J. Elliot or a J. Allen. So, neither the pattern nor mark of "medium hollow" is exclusive to W&B. In trying to recollect, though, I'm not sure if I've seen many that were from W&B.

    I have a Wade & Butcher 9/16. It's my fave shaver.

    I have a 4/8 wade and butcher square point with horn handle. didn't realize it was a rarity (if it is).

    Me too. It's a Jos. Allen. It's pretty wedgy for a Medium Hollow. Pretty cool blade and you don't see too many of them. Although I did see an Allen in the BST the other day. Kind of funny that it looks soo similar to the W&B.

    Yep, mine is a Jos. Allen (confirmed). Mine is pretty much a wedge too -- kind of a misnomer with "hollow" engraved on it.
