Dovo Bismarck super
Hello
New to the forum {though I'm sure I registered last year } hey ho.
I'm considering the above razor because I'm hooked on the plain jane appearance .I've had and quickly sent back a ''BEST QUALITY'' Dovo because it wasnt all that quality.
My question is this .Is the Bismarck super of a higher quality i/e better quality plastic on the scales and general fit and finish? { really didnt like the bendy soft plastic used on the BEST QUALITY}
I have one of the Specials in tortoise and thats lovely ,I know it's more money but I'm hoping the Bismarck scales are of a similar hard plastic.
Any information would be appreciated

Usually, the pricier the better, but you have to put some common sense of what are you paying for. Usually, that would be steel up to some point, than the scales. Why not try a stainless steel one?

I'm a big fan of the Dovo line and have 4 that are in my regular rotation. I picked up 2 of their Bismark models along the way as well and while I love the shaves - the blades are very nice - I feel the scales are a bit lacking. The newer of the two is a Red Bismark and the scales are quite poor quality-wise IMHO. I am disappointed. The other Bismark I picked up is a slightly used, older model. Again, the blade is excellent. The scales are better than the new Red model, but still a bit lacking. They both are rather flimsy feeling and lack a quality "feel". Maybe it's just me...lol.....they are great shavers and I won't ever get rid of them, but the scales have room for improvement at those prices.
