Default Northfield Cutlery Co. and a no-name?

    Howdy Fellas,

I found this razor in a local antique shop for next to nothing. I thought it was kind of cute and it seemed like it was well made so I snagged it up. The only markings on it are "Northfield Cutlery Co." She really needs a thorough cleaning. It almost passes the HHT test, but I will have it honed before I try it out... this is the best 'feeling' razor I have ever held; not that I have a ton of experience in this area.

My Dad brought this over, he had it in the attic and wanted me to have it since I was using straights. He got it from a friend in the 70s and shaved with it for a while but quit. All it says on it is "Made in Germany". There are no other markings on it. The box says "Made in Germany Extra Hollow Ground Fully Warranted." Is this common? It seems like most of the 'good' razors have a manufacturer's mark or importers mark on them. Any input on either razor is much appreciated.

    Justin
