    Default non folding straight

For those of you who use a traditional non folding straight. Is it easier to make an e-w or w-e pass on the neck? I find it near impossible with a regular straight and I really need that ATG pass. I am contemplating buying one. What kind of maintenance do they require? Special honing or stropping?

I have used one, or at least ried to.

The strokes the I could do like with a normal straight went OK.
    But others... not so much.

So WTG on my right cheek and jaw was fine.
upper lip and chine were fine.
ATG left cheek and jaw was fine.

For the other strokes you have to get into very awkward positions to use it properly.
And if you're not using it properly, then what's the point of using one at all?

So I sold mine to someone else.
I think I sold about a dozen of these (15 mx I think) and with one or two exceptions, I've seen people sell them again.

If you want to try one, post a WTB for a Tosuke razor. They are not overly expensive. 150ish$.
If you then decide you really like it, you can think of what to buy next.

I confess, I haven't tried a traditional non folding, just the non folding feather. I find I cannot do an E,W or W,E pass with ease, infact it's damn near impossible and since the shape is more or less the same as a traditional non folding straight I really doubt there will be much difference.

I take it your neck hair is the same as mine? growing from left to right or vice versa.
