$35.00 for my first razor from Joe Chandler. Then twenty for that same razor when on my second shave I nicked it on the sink and sent it to Lynn to fix.

All of my other razors cost less. Do I win the Cheapskate award??

All vintage so far. The 2 most expensive were $25 each.

    Edit: I'm pretty cheap!

The blade my wife bought me for our 10th wedding anniversary $1200. (That doesn't include the cost of flights and lodging in Italy .)

But the cost was nothing compared to the experience of the journey from concept to collection. It would have been cheap at twice the price.

Most expensive razor I've bought: $300 Iwasaki
Most Expensive Blade: hand-forged katana I had made a while back as a gift to myself upon receiving my shodan - $6500 CAD (and yes, I can shave with it, but I won't)

    Hmmmm interesting thread
As a VINTAGE razor collector I haven't spent all that much on a single blade... In fact the most "expensive" razor I own is a DD Lifetime/ Grim Reaper, thats the one that I spent the most money on anyway...
My most valuable razor in my collection however is an unknown!!! L.H.Mack 4/8 out of Columbus Ohio w/candy cane celluloid scales....
    Why???
Because it will out shave every other razor in my collection with ease...
Not that I don't like the Custom razors being offered out there, (I probably will pop for one sooner or later) but I really like taking something that is 20 -120 years old and bringing it back to life, that is pure joy to me...

I'm going to have to answer this in a two fold way...

The most "expensive" razor I've bought is a tie between my 8/8 Henkel's Froidur spanish point in Kudu scales, and my 7/8 spanish point Dorko in blonde Horn both about $240

The most valuable razor I have is a very plain 8/8 Henckels square point with black plastic scales... I got it off E-bay for less than $50, but it's the absolute best shaver I've ever used bar none. I've yet to come across anything even close, and wouldn't trade it or sell it for anything. Well, maybe for a 8/8 Livi or Zowada... but I'd have to shave with them first...

On a single blade - $260 on a TI; I spent $450 on a Dovo 7-day set with case in excellent condition.
