Thanked: 4Whats your best duck?
I have quite a gaggle of them now. Dwarfs, number 1s, satinedge, goldedge and a wonder edge coming from a honemeister soon. I find the satinedge gives the greatest consistent shaves, you would think the goldedge would. I have heard from others that the satinedge is the best of the lot. Why is that do you think? WHats your favorite duck?

I only have a couple of Goldedges and a Satinwedge. The wedge gives me the smoothest shave of the three.

Actually they are all great. I have about 16 or so different ones now and with the exception of a really old lifetime with blued blade which doesn't hold an edge all that long I would say they are equally good.

My best one is not all that great really, just my first straight
DD Styledge with the red scales. I think I'll oil it up and put it away.

Thanked: 13245A "Paddling of Ducks"
One of the proper terms of a group of ducks BTW is a "Paddling" I actually looked it up
I told you I had a compulsive problem
Which is the best in my small collection Hmmmmmmm
Tuff question..
I think maybe the Spendur is right they are all good...
I know that's a cop out, but really if a barber were shaving me, and I was blindfolded, I don't think I could tell the difference...
I would like to find a few more though....and continue the testing
So please any you don't like, just give them to me, and Ill take care of them for you!!!!!Last edited by gssixgun; 02-14-2008 at 05:16 AM.

Thanked: 9My best duck is a 4/8 wedge. With a mirror finish, this razor feels *so* light without the 'walking on bubble-wrap sound' type of feedback that a full-hollow gives.
Light pressure, and you won't feel a thing. Your skin will feel smooth and soft like that for many hours. And that is just the first pass!
Three cheers on the ducks and their lightweight hard steel.

Thanked: 9as a side note, I think it is the *extremely* hard steel and their light weight that makes the ducks so popular...I haven't come across another brand that combines the two so well. Actually I have, but I'm not saying

16 Ducks!!
Holy Balls!! Some of you guys have that many DD's!!?? I'd just like to have one at this point. I'm looking at spending a LOT of money on the Wonderedge on e-bizzle now. If I dont get this one, one of you guys surly have one that you dont use enough to justify having...right? I just want one that is in great shape and shave's nice. Is that too much to ask?? IF there's anybody out there that needs to get rid of one between now and 1630 Hawaii time, PM me some pics and a price... I'll love you forever!
