C-MON Razors
I got a C MON "blackie" 6/8 coming in from a friend who bought it for me at a antique sale. He paid $30 for it. Whats the consensus, are they shavers or letter openers?

Should be a very good shaver, unless it's in really poor condition of course.

C-Mons are really fine shavers.

If I am remebering correctly, it may depend on the age of the razor.
Someone posted that the newer ones are not as nice as the old (seems the case with many things, eh?).
I have one that is older but very plain and simple...I think that they are nice razors.

The "Blackie" is an old model though, so it should be fine.

Blackie
My C-Mon came in today with two very very small chips in the edge near the toe. After getting rid of those and some quick honing, took it for a spin. Pretty nice. I think I have some more work to do in the finishing department but Im very happy with the razor. Besides those tiny nicks and some rust spots, its in very nice condition, and there was no hone wear at all. If I could figure out how to upload some pics I'd show ya... Sorry, technology is not my friend.
