    Default WADE & BUTCHER ?

I recently purchased a Wade and Butcher from ebay (came in a batch or four razors). On one side it sais wade & Butcher Sheffield ( There is something above that but I can not make it out) There is nothing on the other side, and no trade mark or emblem any where. Is this early/late in there history? Is it a knock off ? any other ideas?

could the missing be "manufactured by"

probably pre 1890... and the loggo "B <arrow> <cross> could be worn down... i thing they were stamped prior to the tempering, final grinding and polishing.
    Be just and fear not.

Actually, they didn't all have the famous sideways B with the arrow and cross.

After looking at some other W&B I think it probably does say manufactured by, I can make out the "by" but nothing more. I don't think that the logo has been worn away, must be one of the ones that did not have it.

Here are some of W & B's tang stamps. I hope this helps!
You'll have to scroll down a couple of posts I think.
