could anyone tell me if that would be good for me, a begginer, Its quite practical as its a full week set, I was looking for a set anyway, shows your serious about making the move from safety razor shaving to straight razor shaving...so what do you experienced users think of the razors in the link?

Thanked: 95This seems to some nice razors but, I don't believe this will be this set will be cheap, maybe you are better of posting a WTB in B/S/T section to get a shave ready razor.

Thanked: 0Get a $25 decent razor to get started. That set is not all matching, I don't think. Take your time before you drop a bundle and figure out what you really want to get...

A 2nd for posting on the BST forum.
Topher was putting together some starter kits not too long ago. I'm not sure where he is with it now, but I'd look him up or shoot him a PM- top notch and by far the best way to go (if he has them ready)!

hose razors aren't in the best of shape from what I can see, and I would expect this to sell for much more.
Keep in mind you will need a lot more than just the blade to get started, you need a good strop, brush, soaps, etc...
You're actually better off spending less on the razor, and getting higher quality accoutrements.
Get a starter razor from someone here in B/S/T, and save for one of Tony's strops, a badger brush, and some of Mamabear's or colleen's soaps.
There are members here who can probably get you into an inexpensive razor if you ask around... or you can get a Wapi... either way, you should be able to get yourself a shave ready razor for around $40 or less. It may not be really pretty, but right now you'll want one that is functional, not fancy.
It's more important IMHO to have a good strop, and quality soap, than it is to have fancy brand name razors, or multiple razors.
I learned with a $20 Wester Brothers De-fi... I didn't need more than that, and it served me well. I've since passed it on to another member.
