Since I've given up making any attempt to buy a razor on the B/S/T forum here - the is no way I can watch this web page closely enough, long enough, or frequently enough to be able to make the 1 to 3 minute catches it requires to be able to buy a nice 6/8 to 7/8 razor, it's just not possible for the average viewer/shaver here. "A man's got to know his limitations." --Clint Eastwood, from something or other.

So I looked at John Crowley's site and had my fancy caught by an Otto Busch NOS Stain Resistant 6/8+ round tip. Nothing fancy; it has black plastic handles. John's shipping is remarkably quick and I got it via Saturday's post. Sunday afternoon I honed it and put it at the head of the rotation for this morning's shave. BBS in 2 passes! This is one very, very nice razor. It may be the closest shave I have ever had with a straight razor and this includes 2 customs and one semi-custom.

So for those of you who are also among the disenfranchised BST attemptees, you may be able to pick up some medicine for the RAD or at least be able to find something to temporarily stanch the tremors by checking out some of the NOS available here and there -- and I can't say enough good about the Otto Busch and John's excellent service.

...I can hardly notice the shakes... and then I saw a Weltmeister, 6/8, with thumb notch...
