Well, I shaved with the Prussian tonight and I must say that it shaved beautifully! The blade is surprisingly light for a 13/16's blade, and the feel and sound are also much different from other blades I have used! This one is definitely up there in the top five shavers that I own! All that remains to be seen is how long the edge will last before I need to touch her up. I usually get two to six months depending on how well I honed and quality of steel.

I believe the two storks are referred to as "Kissing Cranes" and have a good following. I hope someone will correct me if I am in error.

Your're correct. I used mine this morning. It takes and holds a fine edge.

You're right, but my cranes aren't kissing as they are separated by the words "Robert Klaas" and under that " Prussia "!

Hi this is my first post to this board... I saw the posts/ topic for Robt Klaas of Prussia

I went into my search engine to see if I could find anything about him, hence it brought me here.

I was researching my 3 piece daily set by this company. Hopefully my photos will show up
I have been having difficulty with learning PhotoBucket, but I am trying here

I was glad to hear that the company was dated prior to 1918, when Prussia , wa sdisolved.

My three pieces are Saturday, Monday & Tuesday

I belieeve them to be Real Ivory. and if you'll notice the Tangs are covered in the same material. And of course I now know to call them " Kissing Cranes "

They are in very nice condition.
Would anyone have anything to add about this company or a set such was this.

This was an antiques Store find several months ago, I am just now trying to find out more about my razors and this seemed a good a place to start as any.

    Thanks Tom Heath

Nice razors you have there. I have one Klaas with the covered tang and mine is faux ivory celluloid and a great shaver. You should edit your post and take your email addy out. Spam bots search out those and inundate the in boxes. Welcome to SRP. Now get them pro honed and enjoy shaving with them.

Hey JMS, looks like we're in a club of sorts, just picked this beauty up from a local antique shop a few days ago. Looking into getting it restored/honed now.

I have a pai of Robert Klaas Barber shears that I really like. They say "Germany" So not as old as the Prussia era but really nice high carbon steel shears.
