    Default Case Red Imp

I have a couple of these, and now that I can hone a razor without destroying it, I decided to pull out the one that is pretty close to NOS.

I honed it to a nice edge and shaved with it this AM.

    It shaves like wedge!!!

Smooth, and very quiet, not at all like a full hollow ground razor. It feels exactly like my Electric wedge and my Kinfolks wedge.

So, is it a wedge? Or is it just not as hollow-ground as some hollow-ground razors?

    Anyone else have one?

    I like this razor.

I have one in restoration progress... Uh, would you like to get rid of that other one of yours?!?!?

I believe the 132s are wedges and the 133s are full hollows.

This is correct. The 132 "wedge" is hollowed out a little bit like all wedges that I have seen though. The grind and steel feels very similar to a Dubl Duck Satinwedge to me. They are absolutely top-notch shavers.

    Default Well I'll be durned

    Yep. it's a 132. I THOUGHT it shaved like a wedge.

My other Red Imp is a 133, but it is from Ludo Shear Works. It still has the full length blade but unfortunately, it won't clean up quite as nice.

Yep. Mine is a 133 (full hollow). Got my eye out for a 132 for it to play with.

Oh, and David, from looking at a 132 it looks like it would shave comparable to a good Wapienica (the 4-5/8 ones) a good thing IMHO. Since you've tried one, what do you think?

Yes, the 132 shaves comparably to a very good Wapienica. Actually I would say that it is the most similar to a Dubl Duck Satinwedge. I wish that I had one to give you John, but I already gave mine to sergiobruna.

    You are too kind David,
It wouldn't be the same if it wasn't sniped out from under some poor unsuspecting soul for an exorbitant price....
Don't have a Satinwedge, either, but I've been watching them on and off.

I'm still trying to find everything from storage-1 box didn't make it here, and I'm searching high and low for that DMT 8K so I don't have to break down and buy either a new one or a new Norton (nope-still haven't bought another one yet)
I do have a Case travel razor that I like pretty good. I've been pretty lucky with a lot of the razors I have.

What kind of steel were the Case razors are made of? I'm wondering about the Temperite in particular.
