TI and the US market!!!
Hey guys,
Can anyone fill me in on why there are so few "Thiers" dealers in the US? Also, check out other straight razor dealers across the "pond" and you will notice that they sell TIs in a variety of handle and blade options. Why aren't these options avaiable to the US market? Even with the decreasing value of the dollar, there is still a demand for them here in the US. What gives ? Anyone have an answer? Thanks.

I have no idea, but I suspect that if you call classicshaving they will likely be able to get you the razor you want.

I would imagine it's simple economics, supply and demand...
Classic probably has to order so many of each type to get a good price, so they have to limit their options...
when the dollar gets a bit strnger more of the smaller dealers may decide to carry TI's but until then, be happy that we have the choices we do...
The art of shaving caries a whole whopping 4 selections... By comparison classic's selection is huge.

Thanked: 44There is a rumor that they are trying their newer models over there and letting us run through their stock of older stuff. I can't confirm that though and don't remember the source.

Thanked: 174I doubt that they have any problem selling all the razors they produce. It is only a small producer and in truth, I suspect they are at full capacity supplying the outlets they already do business with. I don't think we have UK source. But with the internet, those things don't matter anymore.
