    Cool Ebay success! Finally!!!!!

hey everybody, i just snagged this on ebay for $26 to my door. here's the pics and the sales write-up. even tho the pics are fuzzy try to give me some thoughts. and i need to know how to get the front pin out without damaging the scales so i can clean and refab the blade. thanks for the help and all the great info. everyone here is awesome!

it took me over 2 hours and i had to bid on countless items i lost at the last minute because i have dial-up!

A VINTAGE WESTER BROTHERS DE-FI STRAIGHT RAZOR AND ORGINAL BOX. THIS RAZOR WAS MADE IN SOLINGEN, GERMANY. THIS RAZOR IS IN GREAT PHYSCIALCONDITON, WITH ONLY RUST AT THE CONNECTING POINT OF THE HANDLE. ON THE FRONT OF THE BLADE NEAR THE HANDLE, IT SAYS "34, DE-FI REFG. US. PAT.OFF. " ON THE BACK NEAR THE HANDLE IT SAYS "WESTER BROS SOLINGEN, GERMANY." AN THERE IS A PICTURE OF AN ACHOR WITH A STAR ON IT, AND AN ARROW GOING THROUGH A STAR. THIS RAZOR IS SO UNIQUE BECAUSE OF THE HANDLE. THE HANDLE IS MADE OUT OF BAKELITE AND LOOKS LIKE WOOD GRAIN. THE BOX IS IN GREAT CONDITION AND DOES HAVE SOME DAMAGE.

thanks "gatorfan" i just snagged a nice morely clover that looks to be in great condition! i see a lot of them but most are pretty beat up.

i'm surprised i have 117 lurkers on this thread and only 1 poster! lol.

so does anyone know how to get this pin out or what? i found the bolts and instructions to replace it, (pretty common sense) but as a mechanic on the side i drill pins and rivets when i come across them, something tells me this may require a softer hand..... thanks.
