Thanked: 286Just got mine yesterday from invisable edge. And must say very good qaulity with nice weight and balance and the shave was exallant Steve said he only had to touch up on naniwa 10k that was all it needed to be shave ready and so mine did'nt need much work out of the box if any.

She's a 5/8 full hollow .. I got mine around the same time as the bigspendur and some of the other guys .. It really does have a different feel to any other razor I have . I have the SRP LE & a le Gerlot also in my TI collection .
I don't think you'd have much bother with your beard with it .. I got mine from Martin and I value his advice so if he maybe is suggesting the Le Gerlot , buy both : )
Cheers Garry

...man the lending company is never going to believe me this time!!!
I've put my questions/concerns to Martin, but have not heard from him since last week. I guess he must be busy. How different is a 1/4 grind from a full hollow? Quite frankly, I don't mind what I go for, so long as it does the job properly. This will be the fourth razor in my rotation. I tried a Henkles not long ago, but despite being freshly-sharpened by one of the best memebrs of this group, it felt bouncy on my face and nowhere near as smooth as either my Puma 6/8 or Robeson Shuredge 5/8. I just don't want to end up with the wrong razor for my fussy face.

What do you guys think of the 3/4 Le Grelot razors?
How do they compare to the 1/4 or the Silverwing?

I recall this question being asked the other day I think ( my memory is going in my old age ) .. I've got both razors , both are fantastic shavers and both very differnet to compare . le gerlot is a 6/8 1/2 hollow if memory serves me well . The Silver wing is a 5/8 full hollow but the steel is also harder , I find the SilverWing gives a different shave to any other razor I have , which I find I hard to describe. It's not unpleasent by any means .. just different .
Personally If I had the money . I'd opt for the silver wing . It's hard enough yet small enough to cope with most jobs ..
Have a fish about for the reviews on both razors , see what you make of them then .
Cheers Garry

Gary,
I have one of the Spartacus C135 TIs, from InvisibleEdge.
It really does have a very diffferent feel on the face to my other razors.
The edge finish is superb, and using it for two weeks exclusively, it has not had to be touched up at all. Very hard steel !
best regards
Russ
