just got my W.H. Morley
I just got my W.H. Morley & Son’s in the mail yesterday. I didn’t have time to clean and prep it so I waited until just now. OMG!!!!
I decided no more throw away straights and of course as soon as I was on my last one, I dropped it in the sink! Took a huge chip out of the blade. It’s been about a week since I’ve shaved in anticipation of this, and I am so glad I waited! I actually went to a friends house and honed it, stropped it and used his hot lather machine. I FEEL GREAT!!!! It’s amazing how great a good shave can make you feel. Friday night BBS baby, now if I can only keep the chickies lip gloss off of me I’ll be in heaven. I hate that stuff!!!! It’s like axle grease!
Lips = great, Gloss = great, Lip Gloss = nasty crap!

I love my Morley razors. I think they shave super. The steel is harder than most so it takes some work to get a good edge but once there, it takes a while to ware down.

i think the clover brand and the wester bros. i'm restoring right now will be my first 2 "favorite" razors.
BTW, i got a Kreiger, or whatever to practice honing as a scrap. won it on ebay for $.99! this thing ways over a half of a pound! it's .6lbs on my shipping scale. the scales are thick stainless and but the blade is nice and big. too bad it's not so good.....

I'm excited to get my Morley from Dave in the mail. I'm out of town so I'm not sure if it's arrived, but I'll be home tomorrow!

the blade on my clover was rolled when i got it(no big deal) but after a little attention i love it! the pins are tight, the scales are crack free and it's in great shape. it could use a little brightening maybe, but it looks way better than the pics i bought it from. definitely a great ebay buy!
the official review. my Morley clover and the Wester Bros. are both fantastic! even if the W.B. has some rust from about half way between the blade and scales, where you hold it, to the end of the tail. easy fix and it doesn't effect the shave at all!
