Thanked: 13245Two New additions
I just brought these two up to shave ready, both required very little work to get cleaned up and honed up... The Red Point possibly had been honed in the past, can't quite tell.... The other had never seen a hone before...
The first Razor is a Real Red Point made by Universal Cutlery of Youngstown Ohio.. Stamped "Made by Solingen Germany Experts"
Fairly straight forward razor nice silver bolsters and a 5/8 size blade with a spike point.....
The second razor is the find, A 6/8 square point with a blued tang and tail, Tucked into amber & cream swirled celluloid scales with highly decorated bolsters. The razor is stamped J.P. Alcamisi (yes it is an 'm' and not a 'p' like the 3rd Edition says) Schenectady NY and "Imperatore"
I have a funny feeling about this one just from the way she honed up....
Anyway just wanted to show off the 2 lasetst additions to the stable.......

That second one looks a lot like a FW Engels Leader.

Thanked: 13245Imperatore Shave!!!!
WOW!!!
I was right this one is a nice shaver, sometimes you can just tell from the way they feel on the hones...
Beautiful 2 pass BBS shave this morning, this is definitely going in the top drawer as part of the rotation...
If this edge holds I would rate this in my top 5 razors for smoothness of shaves.... Pretty strong statement huh????
