Thread: Help me choose!

Long time reader, first time poster.
I have decided to treat myself to a new razor.
The one i have now is old and falling apart with a large chunk in one of the scales missing.

So im thinking of getting one of the following:

What (if any) difference is there between the blades?

I like the blade on the stainless steel one but I am worried that the steel handle will be slippery.
But i also like the handle of the black one.

Which one would you choose?

And does anyone know a better/cheaper online Australian retailer with a broader range of razors to choose from?

Both will make good shavers, I'm certain. You can't go wrong with either selection.

And honestly, you don't hold the razor by the scales (handle), so slippery isn't a big consideration. Weight would be more of a deciding factor for me when considering metal scales.

Honestly, I would choose the second. And FYI, the second is Dovo's Bismarck. They get phenomenal reviews here from those who have them.

A very easy decision there for me.

Firstly I don't like metal handles and secondly your getting a 6/8 for the same price of the 5/8.

Have just spotted that #1 is SS and #2 is carbon.

Still - it's #2 ;-)

I have the half hollow carb 6/8 Bismarck & it's a great shave. Nice looking also if that's a factor.

Why not order it from Classic for $120. USPS charges are not that high. You'll save at least $65-75.
