I will give you the obligatory "that razor looks like a piece of junk, you should send it to me immediately for disposal" comment. It looks like someone really could not decide what they wanted to do with that blade when they ground it. You could also just give it to me on Sunday to save shipping costs

Actually I think that you have it backwards, that blade IS special (because Joseph Rodgers one of the absolute top Sheffield brands) but I do not think that the scales are special. Those scales do not look like ivory, they look like bone. They are too thick, the shape is wrong, and the grain does not look right for ivory. Really nice blade though!
