Not I... but I have a more vintage Fromm Eagle with celluloid scales (3 pin, some celluloid rot), and it's a very good spike point Solingen carbon steel blade.

I have not heard/read anything about the current vintage of Fromm straight razors, hope someone else chimes in here. Didn't want you to feel ignored or left out!

That said, if you are looking for a straight razor that shaves well but isn't all that pretty, you can do pretty well for yourself on auction sites... you'll have to hone it yourself, or get someone to do it for you... don't trust general sellers when they say "it's shave ready"... if you want one that *is* pretty *and* shaves well, check out the Buy/Sell/Trade section of our esteemed forums. And if someone on BST says it's shave ready, you have little reason to doubt them.

    Thanks!
Altough I do think it is a fine looking razor.
My girlfriend is a hair stylist at a salon with a barber shop connected and one of the barbers that works there gave me a catalog he orders supplies from and it has a couple razors in it for sale, including the one above. He gets a pretty nice discount, a barber's discount I presume, not to be presumptious. Anyway, I could get one for real real cheap, I just wanna make I'm not wasting my time. I, too was unable to find very much about this razor anywhere.

    Thanks for your input!

I just honed one of these for a member.
It needed the pins adjusted, the grind wasn't very good, and the blade was wavy.
However it took a very fine edge, and it held up in my shave test, so I would rate it as acceptable.
They aren't the prettiest razors, and a bit of a challenge to hone, but once honed, The one I had/honed shaved reasonably well.
