    Default Whoa...

Uh, I don't know what to say, except "I'm goin to Disney World!" I was testing my razor this evening with a stray badger hair after shaving, and it actually split the hair right down the middle, just like a cartoon! Didn't know that was possible, but wow, I'm amazed. Sorry, just had to share the excitement

To think I was excited to finally just now get one of mine to pass the hanging hair test (my hair). I finally hit the target and you go and split my arrow in two.....lol

    Cool!

I have no idea how it happened - it was an accident, and I nearly dropped the razor when it happened.

    Congrats on your successful HHT!

What kind of razor did you use? And how was it honed?

Twas a Tosuke, honed using the 3:2 washboard method first on the 8k side of a Norton, then on a Spyderco UF.

The more razors you hone and use the HHT on the more you will see that. It is not unusual.
    But it is so cool!

    Very cool pic and congrats!

I never get the hair to split quite so far up, it usually splits for a few mm's then pops in half. The width of a hair (human) is about 20 microns, and the edge on a razor is less than 1. So it's really just a matter of pulling a hair straight down the center of the blade. But as we all know that easier said then done.

    Again, congrats!
